Job Description

Summary:

A Structural Revit Draftsman Designer prepares structural drawings and plans for foundation and framing work for Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Institutional projects.

Responsibilities:

· Drafts plan views for foundation and framing plans

· Drafts walls and framing sections for design plans

· Coordinates design input and markups from structural engineering leads

· Utilizes and improves structural design standards

· Responsible for producing quality models

· Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; prioritize and communicate assignments

· Performs all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED; Additional education preferred.

Two years' experience with Revit software and knowledge of AutoCAD required.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Ability to effectively present information to management and engineers. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
