This team partners with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to deliver scalable and efficient processes across the customer lifecycle, from lead generation to revenue recognition. Revenue Operations is essential to achieving our company’s revenue and operational goals. As the Product Owner, Marketing Platform Automation, you will translate automation, workflow, and integration requirements into actionable work for our Engineering team. You will bridge business requirements and code development, own the backlog, create user stories, and ensure that acceptance criteria are met. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of marketing technologies, and effective communication.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand automation, workflow, and integration requirements Work with technical resources to turn requirements into features and tasks, ensuring alignment with the team’s objectives Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications Own and manage the backlog as Product Owner, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery Participate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and retrospectives to refine the backlog and improve team efficiency Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements Analyze existing marketing technologies and processes to identify areas for improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement marketing technology solutions that drive growth and efficiency Provide sprint reporting to track delivery and velocity Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing technology Support the company’s vision and values through role modeling Participate in company initiatives and projects as requested Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related practical experience as Product Analyst or Digital Strategist 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or similar role, preferably in marketing technology or software development Strong understanding and experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Mailchimp, Zoho), CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and digital marketing tools Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and Tag Manager is a plus Hands-on experience in all stages of the product lifecycle Proficiency in Agile methodologies and Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence) with ability to create JQL filters Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Experience managing backlogs and sprint planning in Agile contexts Experience with SWAG/Guesstimation in cross-functional teams Experience with Google or Microsoft 365 Suites and tools like Aha! Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience with project management tools such as Asana Familiarity with SQL, R, APIs and data integration concepts is a plus Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning in marketing technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and aptitude to learn new systems quickly Benefits + Compensation at PitchBook
Compensation Annual base salary: $120,000-$160,000 Target annual bonus: 10% Working Conditions
The role requires in-office collaboration. This position is expected to be in the office 5 days a week. Standard office conditions apply, with regular use of PC and phone. Limited travel may be required to remote offices or for meetings. Life at PitchBook
