Senior Director, Marketing & Events
The role is a strategic luxury marketing leadership position focused on brand storytelling through experiential, digital, and omnichannel activations. You will lead a lean but impactful team and oversee all brand, event, and experiential marketing initiatives across North America. This role reports directly to the President & CEO.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Brand & Marketing Leadership
— Partner closely with Global Headquarters in Solomeo to align North American marketing strategies with the global brand vision and ensure cohesive execution of worldwide brand moments and activations.
Monitor cultural and industry trends to proactively identify new opportunities for brand engagement and innovation within the luxury experience space.
Provide feedback to and collaborate with global teams on content creation and storytelling to ensure regional relevance while upholding the global creative direction.
Lead and develop a team of marketing professionals through strategic guidance and mentorship.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on innovation and results.
Own and manage the marketing budget and resource allocation, including planning, forecasting, reconciliation, and ROI analysis.
Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure effectiveness, provide insights, and continuously optimize future activations.
Build and maintain relationships with external agencies and vendors.
Proactively ideates with team and colleagues to produce novel solutions that align with brand standards.
Lead end-to-end go-to-market excellence, from strategy to execution across activations, seasonal moments, and category storytelling.
Lead media buying and digital strategy across paid, earned, and owned channels; develop data-driven campaigns that maximize ROI, optimize spend, and elevate brand visibility across social, search, and programmatic platforms.
Experiential Marketing & Events Execution
Lead the strategic development and execution of a comprehensive events and experiential marketing calendar to support brand elevation, client engagement, and commercial goals across North America.
Oversee all event activations including seasonal presentations, store openings, press events, clienteling experiences, philanthropic partnerships, and local market activations.
Lead the production and execution of key North American events, ensuring logistical excellence, brand alignment, and high-touch service at every level.
Build and nurture strategic relationships with external partners, vendors, stylists, influencers, and philanthropic organizations aligned with our brand values.
Act as the brand guardian across all touchpoints—ensuring that every event, activation, and partnership reflects the brand’s values, heritage, and aesthetic.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Collaborate across internal teams—including Retail, Wholesale, PR, Communications, and Visual Merchandising—to translate strategic priorities into impactful, on-brand experiences.
Act as a senior partner to regional business units, ensuring that marketing efforts are aligned with retail and commercial objectives.
Represent North America in global brand planning conversations, offering local insights to inform global strategies and executions with Italy headquarters.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
15+ years of relevant experience in luxury fashion, retail, or lifestyle marketing, with proven success leading experiential and event marketing initiatives.
Minimum 7+ years managing and leading marketing and creative teams.
Direct experience building and managing marketing budgets and delivering ROI-focused results.
Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning and storytelling through both physical and digital experiences.
Strong presentation and communication skills for upper management audiences.
Deep knowledge of North American fashion, media, cultural, and influencer landscapes.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Adept at cross-functional collaboration and able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Willingness and ability to travel regularly to lead activations and oversee regional events.
Salary: $250,000 + 20% Bonus
