Speechify is hiring: Software Engineer, AI Studio in Urbana

Overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer for the AI Studio to help build and evolve Speechify's Creator Studio and AI-powered voiceover features. This role is designed for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys delivering excellent user experiences.

Speechify operates with a 100% distributed team and emphasizes strong technical skills, clear communication, and a results-driven mindset. Our interview process involves several technical interviews with a goal to complete them within one week.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain Speechify's Creator Studio available at speechify.com/studio
• Integrate AI models to deliver state-of-the-art voiceovers, dubbing, voice cloning, and related features

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Experience with AWS/GCS and ability to design service architectures using these services
• Experience building scalable architectures using microservices
• Experience writing testable code and improving testing infrastructure
• Proficiency with React and modern React stack, or Node.js, or both
• Understanding of low-level JavaScript and ability to profile and optimize SPA frontend/backend performance
• Preferred: video and audio processing experience

Salary

• United States base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity, depending on experience
