Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Proofpoint Email Security Product Marketing team. You will drive Go-to-Market strategy for the Proofpoint Threat Protection solution. You’ll be the expert on our buyers, competitors, and lay the foundation for market success. You will partner with product management, marketing, and sales to build and execute Go-to-Market plans and create high-impact assets to drive business growth. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, a diplomatic collaborator, and a strategic thinker with sound judgement. Your Day-to-Day
Positioning and Messaging:
Be the expert on our buyers—who they are, how they buy, and their buying criteria. Craft messaging aligned with market and competitive trends, emphasizing differentiators and business value. Content Creation:
Create messaging and content (webinars, blogs, solution briefs, datasheets, presentations, etc.) that highlight differentiated business value for target buyers. Presentation & Thought Leadership:
Present to internal/external audiences (sales training, customer briefings, webinars, events) and lead as the primary thought leader for the solutions you support. Domain Expertise:
Establish yourself as a thought leader in the email security market; translate insights into actionable guidance for sales, customer success, marketing, and product management. Launch Execution:
Lead cross-functional teams in planning, execution, and launching new capabilities; support updates and launches to drive demand. Sales Enablement:
Create enablement content and tools to help sellers communicate our value. Dynamic Collaboration:
Build strong relationships with product management, marketing, competitive intelligence, and sales to align on release benefits. Customer Advocacy:
Leverage customer stories to strengthen competitive positioning and messaging. What You Bring To The Team
8+ years of product marketing experience; email security, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT preferred. BS/BA required; MBA a plus. Experience marketing to enterprise and technical buyers; ability to converse across technical and sales audiences with concise messaging. Strong content creation and editing skills with a clear voice and style aligned with messaging guidelines. Passion for understanding the market and translating insights into Go-to-Market plans. Analytical, organized, able to manage multiple priorities and projects. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and inspire teams. Ability to articulate value propositions at product and solution levels; strong public speaking skills both remote and in person. High energy and enthusiasm; travel up to 10–15% expected.
