Overview
Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Proofpoint Email Security Product Marketing team. Drive Go-to-Market strategy for the Proofpoint Threat Protection solution. Partner with product management, marketing, and sales to build and execute GTM plans and create high-impact assets to drive business growth. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, a diplomatic collaborator, and a strategic thinker who can roll up their sleeves and exercise sound judgement. Your Day-to-Day
Positioning and Messaging: Be the expert on buyers, their buying criteria, and how they buy. Develop messaging aligned with market and competitive trends, emphasizing differentiators and business value. Content Creation: Produce messaging and content (webinars, blogs, solution briefs, datasheets, presentations, etc.) that highlight differentiated value for target buyers. Presentation and Thought Leadership: Present to internal and external audiences; lead sales training, customer briefings, webinars, events, and analyst briefings. Domain Expertise: Research market trends, customer needs, and competition; translate insights into actionable guidance for sales, customer success, marketing, and product management. Launch Execution: Lead cross-functional teams to plan and launch new capabilities and releases; support updates to generate demand and awareness. Sales Enablement: Create enablement content and tools to help sellers communicate our unique value. Dynamic Collaboration: Work with product management, corporate marketing, competitive intelligence, and sales to ensure release benefits alignment. Customer Advocacy: Leverage customer success stories to strengthen messaging and marketing impact. What You Bring To The Team
8+ years of experience in product marketing; background in email security, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT preferred. B.S./B.A. in business or technical field; MBA a plus. Proven experience marketing to enterprise and technical buyers; ability to communicate across audiences with concise messaging. Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills; ability to translate market knowledge into actionable GTM plans. Analytical mindset with the ability to execute tactically; capable of managing multiple priorities independently. Leadership and collaboration skills to lead diverse teams; ability to articulate value at product and solution levels. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences. High energy and enthusiasm; travel up to 10-15% (willingness to travel, including international locations). This role can be in a Proofpoint office, hybrid, or remote. Why Proofpoint
