The Role
We’re looking for a strong, talented Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Proofpoint Email Security Product Marketing team. You will drive Go-to-Market strategy for the Proofpoint Threat Protection solution and partner with product management, marketing, and sales to build and execute high-impact plans and assets to drive business growth.
The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, a diplomatic collaborator, a strategic thinker, and someone who knows when to push back or dive in.
Your Day-to-Day
Positioning and Messaging: Be the expert on buyers, their buying criteria, and how they buy. Craft clear messaging aligned with market and competitive trends, emphasizing differentiators and business value.
Content Creation: Produce compelling messaging and content (webinars, blogs, briefs, datasheets, presentations, etc.) that highlight differentiated value to reach target buyers.
Presentation Delivery: Present to internal and external audiences (sales training, customer briefings, webinars, events, analyst briefings) and act as the primary thought leader for supported solutions and services.
Domain Expertise: Research market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape; translate insights into actionable guidance for sales, marketing, product, and customers.
Launch Execution: Lead cross-functional planning and execution for new capabilities and releases to generate awareness and demand.
Sales Enablement: Develop enablement content and tools for direct and indirect sales channels to articulate our value proposition.
Dynamic Collaboration: Build strong relationships with product management, marketing, competitive intelligence, and sales to align release benefits with business goals.
Customer Advocacy: Leverage customer success stories to strengthen positioning and messaging.
What You Bring To The Team
8+ years of experience in product marketing; experience in email security, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT preferred.
BS/BA required; MBA a plus.
Proven experience marketing to enterprise and technical buyers with concise messaging.
Ability to craft engaging content and quality materials with a strong grasp of tone and style.
Analytical, able to execute tactically, manage multiple priorities, and work independently.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and inspire teams.
Ability to articulate value at both product and solution levels; strong storytelling and public speaking skills.
High energy and enthusiasm with the ability to influence other teams.
Willingness to travel 10-15%; travel may include international locations.
