We’re looking for a strong, talented Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Proofpoint Email Security Product Marketing team. You will drive Go-to-Market strategy for the Proofpoint Threat Protection solution and partner with product management, marketing, and sales to build and execute Go-to-Market plans and create high-impact assets to drive business growth. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, a diplomatic collaborator, and a strategic thinker who can roll up their sleeves and exercise sound judgment when needed. Your Day-to-Day
Positioning and Messaging: Be the expert on our buyers, their buying criteria, and how they buy. Craft messaging that highlights differentiators and business value to resonate with our target audience. Content Creation: Create messaging and content (webinars, blogs, solution briefs, datasheets, presentations, etc.) that showcase differentiated business value. Presentation and Thought Leadership: Present to internal and external audiences, including sales training, customer briefings, webinars, industry events, and analyst briefings. Be the primary thought leader for the solutions you support. Domain Expertise: Research market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. Translate knowledge into actionable insights for sales, customer success, corporate marketing, and product management. Launch Execution: Lead cross-functional teams in planning, execution, and launches of new capabilities and releases to drive demand. Sales Enablement: Develop knowledge, content, and tools to help sellers communicate our value to opportunities. Dynamic Collaboration: Build strong relationships with product management, corporate marketing, competitive intelligence, and sales to align on release benefits. Customer Advocacy: Leverage customer success stories to strengthen messaging and marketing impact. What You Bring To The Team
8+ years in product marketing; email security, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT experience preferred. BS/BA required; MBA a plus. Proven ability to market to enterprise and technical buyers with concise messaging. Strong content creation: research, write, and edit high-quality materials with sound tone and style. Actionable Go-to-Market planning and market knowledge. Analytical, able to manage multiple priorities and projects independently. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and inspire a diverse team. Ability to articulate unique value at both product and solution levels; strong storytelling and presentation skills for audiences. Public speaking comfort, including virtual and in-person settings. High energy and enthusiasm; travel willingness up to 10-15%. This role can be in a Proofpoint office, hybrid, or remote. Why Proofpoint
