About The Job

This role will facilitate responsive music programs for youth and young adults ages 9-24 in a variety of settings including residential treatment centers with satellite Program Partners and at our studios in 1-1 sessions, small groups, rock camps, and other situations as needed. We provide program participants with engaging, relevant, and challenging experiences in music to promote the development of social and emotional skills and amplify youth voices. Our facilitators meet youth where they are and adapt their approach to the unique needs and abilities of individual youth while balancing the collective needs of the youth community, setting goals to support youths in writing and recording music. Please note this role does not manage other staff positions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate responsive music programs for youth and young adults ages 9-24 in multiple settings (e.g., residential centers, partner sites, studios, 1-1, small groups, and camps).
• Provide engaging, relevant, and challenging music experiences to promote social and emotional skills and amplify youth voices.
• Meet youth where they are and adapt approaches to individual needs and abilities while balancing the collective needs of the youth community.
• Set goals to support youths in writing and recording music.
• Note: this role does not manage other staff positions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience working with youth in one of the following roles: educator, mentor, or facilitator.
• Working knowledge of ProTools, Logic, GarageBand, or Ableton.
• Skilled in and able to teach 2 or more traditional rock instruments (preferred).
