Programs provide participants with engaging, relevant, and challenging experiences in music to promote social and emotional development and amplify youth voices. Facilitators meet youth where they are, adapt to individual needs and abilities, balance the collective needs of the youth community, and set goals to support youths in writing and recording music. Note: this role does not manage other staff positions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate responsive music programs for youth and young adults (ages 9-24) in various settings, including residential treatment centers, satellite partner sites, and studio environments.
• Conduct 1-1 sessions, small group activities, rock camps, and other contexts as needed to provide engaging, relevant, and challenging musical experiences.
• Promote social and emotional skill development and amplify youth voices through music.
• Meet youth where they are and adapt instructional approaches to individual needs while balancing the collective needs of the youth community.
• Set goals to support youths in writing and recording music.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure program quality and alignment with participant needs.

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years of experience working with youth in one of the following roles: educator, mentor, or facilitator.
• Working knowledge of ProTools, Logic, GarageBand, or Ableton is required.
• Skilled in and able to teach 2 or more traditional rock instruments is preferred.
