Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun and professional violin teacher to teach part-time at Creative Music Center in Monroe, CT, named a NAMM Top 100 Dealer, 12 years running. We are looking for teachers who will instruct in person. Ability to also teach viola and other string instruments is a plus!

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency; preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in-person violin instruction at Creative Music Center in Monroe, CT. Ability to also teach viola and other string instruments is a plus.
  • Set and manage your availability within our open hours; maintain consistency for students and school staff.

Qualifications

  • Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
  • Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
  • Punctuality and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a routine background check.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $32-38/hour.
  • A 401(K) program with employer matching is available after 90 days on the job.
  • Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees.
