Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate theory-based and evidence-informed mental health promotion initiatives
- Hire, train, manage, supervise, and evaluate paid and/or volunteer student staff, interns, and graduate assistants
- Facilitate the implementation of the Healthy Campus Peer Internship
- Develop strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for mental health promotion programs
- Conduct regular needs assessment, evaluation and research to establish baseline data and measure programmatic success
- Collaborate with on- and off-campus stakeholders to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to mental health for students, faculty and staff
- Incorporate multicultural, diversity and social justice concepts into mental health promotion programs and services
- Maintain expertise in current and relevant mental health trends to serve as a reliable information resource for the campus community
- Research and maintain mental health promotion resources (written, visual/video media and social media platforms)
- Participate on campus and community committees relevant to the Healthy Campus mission
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Qualifications
- Master's degree in public health, health promotion, health communications, mental health, or related field
- Experience in program development, marketing, and evaluation
- Experience with public speaking, group facilitation, writing, and/or editing
- Knowledge of mental health promotion and behavioral health behavior change theories and ecological frameworks
Preferred
- At least 1 year of related experience
- Experience developing and delivering programs on positive psychology and/or skill building
- Experience with health communication and/or social marketing campaigns
- Experience with assessment, evaluation and use of technology for mental health promotion
- College/university level experience in mental health promotion
