Alta Media USA is hiring: Vertical Short Drama Post Producer/Editor in Los Angel

Overview

AltaTV is seeking a Post Producer/Editor who thrives in the fast-paced world of vertical short-form drama. This hybrid role combines the organizational leadership of a Post Producer with the creative craft of an Editor. The ideal candidate has both overseen vendor-driven post pipelines and cut engaging microdramas. You have a sharp eye for story, pacing, and sound design, and you can also manage the workflow that takes a project from offline edit to polished delivery.

Responsibilities

Post Producer

• Act as the primary liaison between AltaTV’s internal creative/content teams and external vendor partners (sound, color, VFX, captions/localization).
• Build and maintain post-production schedules, track deadlines, and flag risks to leadership.
• Manage delivery timelines for multiple projects running concurrently.
• Consolidate and communicate creative notes across teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Oversee file management, versioning, and delivery handoffs for seamless downstream workflows.
• Ensure consistency of creative standards and technical specs across all vendor outputs.

Editor

• Edit vertical short dramas at fast turnaround with engaging moment building.
• Cut narrative episodes (30 sec to 2 min) with compelling pacing, emotional rhythm, and clear story arcs.
• Occasionally serve as an on-set editor, collaborating with directors and platform teams to ensure creative alignment in real time.
• Incorporate music, SFX, captions, and transitions with platform-native sensibility.
• Implement creative feedback from producers and the content team across multiple rounds of revisions.
• Prepare versions for deliverables for the Alta app and social media platforms for marketing purposes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of editing experience, with a strong portfolio of vertical content (required)
• Experience cutting narrative or scripted content for TikTok, Reels, or Shorts (hits or viral content is a big plus)
• Proficient in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of After Effects, CapCut, and Frame.io
• Fast turnaround and clear communication under tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and ability to adapt to varying creative tones
