Job Overview

NETcom Cabling is seeking a skilled and motivated Audio / Visual Lead Technician to join our growing Field Operations team. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced technician ready to take the lead on commercial AV integration projects across the Southeast. If you have at least 3 years of AV experience, enjoy guiding teams, and take pride in delivering clean, professional installs — we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead AV installation teams onsite for commercial and government projects
  • Interpret and execute system drawings and scopes of work
  • Manage daily onsite logistics, quality control, and coordination
  • Ensure all work meets NETcom\'s standards and client expectations
  • Represent NETcom professionally with clients and subcontractors
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior techs
  • Accurately document project updates and support closeout processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in AV installation leadership
  • Strong knowledge of AV systems: displays, speakers, cabling, racks, control systems
  • Skilled in blueprint and AV schematic reading (AutoCAD, Visio, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools, ladders, and lifts
  • Valid driver\'s license and willingness to travel throughout the Southeast
  • Preferred but not required: CTS, Extron, Crestron, or Biamp certifications
  • Experience with structured cabling, surveillance, or access control

Schedule & Location

Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time

Weekend and overtime work may be required based on project timelines

Location: Based in North Carolina

Travel to projects throughout the Southeastern

Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided for travel
