Senior Designer

Overview MD/DC/NVA dealer seeks experienced Designer. Minimum 3 years dealer experience required. Position is hybrid working 2-3 days/week from any of their locations (MD/DC or Richmond).

Responsibilities

Meet with clients and team members to assess the scope of work and specific project requirements

Develop complete furniture solutions, which include furniture plans, accurate specifications, and renderings as needed for systems furniture, seating, casegoods, etc

Review project solutions with clients using effective communication and presentation tools

Complete audit specifications for team members

Create electrical (core), permit and installation drawings

Attend customer sites for field verifications to ensure smooth installation

Select and present finish options, as needed

Coordinate multiple tasks and projects effectively to meet deadlines

Qualifications

Associates’ Degree in Interior Design required, Bachelor’s preferred

Proficiency in CET or AutoCAD / CAP 20/20

Knowledge of ADA codes

Excellent time-management skills/ability to prioritize and estimate design project time

Knowledge of government contracts helpful
