About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Marketing and Communications to lead the strategic development and promotion of the College's brand, both globally and within the community. This senior leadership role involves crafting and disseminating the institution's unique story, coordinating the creation of impactful and timely information, and managing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and inclusive leader, dedicated to the values of equity, access, and social justice. They will be responsible for media relations, marketing, brand promotion, crisis communications, and will lead a branding and market positioning study to support a brand refresh campaign. Applicants for this role should have a proven track record in brand management, digital marketing, social media communications, and crisis management, ideally within a higher-education context. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to build collaborative relationships, and a sophisticated understanding of the issues facing higher education today. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, demonstrated success in managing teams and multiple projects, and the ability to effectively engage with a variety of constituents. A high level of professionalism, fiscal acumen, and the ability to respond to crises with empathy and intelligence are also essential. The Company is particularly interested in candidates who can bring measurable expertise in some, but not all, of the functional areas of the portfolio and who are eager to learn and grow in the role.
