Community Manager – Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager.
  • Manage all phases of operations including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial administration, and risk management.
  • Supervise on-site staff to ensure compliance with Asset Living policies, safety, fair housing guidelines, and liability considerations.
  • Perform personnel management, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Develop and monitor operating budgets, financial reporting, rent collections, and vendor invoice processing.
  • Develop yearly marketing plans, leasing strategies, and resident retention programs; show, lease, and move in residents; address resident concerns.
  • Plan for resource use, procurement, and vendor management; oversee maintenance and property appearances; conduct regular inspections.
  • Lead emergency response and ensure timely, compliant handling of property emergencies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years of experience in the housing industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Ability to perform on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular communication with others; ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours as needed (emergencies).
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods; move between worksites; climb ladders or stairs as needed; lift and move objects up to 25 lbs.

License/Equipment

  • Must have reliable transportation due to the on-call requirement.

Salary

Salary Range: $25 per year to $25 per year.
