AP English Literature and Composition Tutor role on the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform. You’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from your home.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in AP English Literature and Composition and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students in AP English Literature and Composition.
• Explain concepts clearly, tailor lessons to the student’s needs, and adapt to different learning styles.
• Utilize the Live Learning Platform to conduct remote tutoring sessions.
• Save prep time and focus on impactful teaching with support from the platform’s features.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions and manage your own schedule.

Compensation and How You’re Paid

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40/hour over time with the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct.
