Line Cook - Studio City Job at Jon and Vinny's in Los Angeles

Overview

Line Cook position at Jon & Vinny’s. Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $22.00/hr. Work location: Los Angeles area; fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on hospitality and quality food.

What You’ll Do

• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Preps, stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including equipment and surfaces.
• Prepares item for grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Follows sanitation guidelines set forth by Health Department; handles, stores and rotates products properly.
• Assists in food prep during off-peak periods as needed.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows closing procedures; assists others in closing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.

• Work schedule may vary; shifts start as early as 6:30 AM and end as late as 1:00 AM.
• Shifts range from 4-8 hours; overtime may be required.

• Follows safety and sanitation rules and laws at all times.
• Welcomes feedback and coaching to grow as an employee.
