The Audience Operations Analyst is responsible for leveraging first-party customer data to plan, develop, and activate targeted audience segments across digital channels. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to deliver effective audience targeting strategies that enhance campaign performance and drive return on ad spend (ROAS). The ideal candidate combines analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to optimize data-driven audience strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Activation
- Develop and manage custom audiences by campaign and channel as required.
- Monitor and report on audience performance to prevent fatigue and optimize future targeting.
- Analyze customer journeys across digital and in‑store touchpoints to identify insights and opportunities.
- Utilize audience and behavioral insights to support campaign planning and improve targeting precision.
- Partner with internal teams to develop audience segmentation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and analytics teams to translate goals into actionable audience parameters.
- Work with external partners and technology vendors to align audience targeting approaches for optimal results.
- Manage audience delivery workflows, ensuring accurate and timely execution using project management tools.
Analysis & Optimization
- Apply A/B testing, analytics, and consumer insights to evaluate audience performance and inform future strategies.
- Stay current on trends in digital media, consumer behavior, and data technology to identify new audience opportunities.
- Recommend and implement audience strategies that maximize engagement, sales, and campaign performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Hands‑on experience building and activating audiences using first‑party data within AdTech or MarTech platforms.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into actionable audience segmentation strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and audience segmentation tools.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital advertising, media operations, or audience strategy.
- Solid understanding of digital media metrics, data segmentation, and targeting best practices.
- Experience developing customer insights and analytics to support marketing and campaign planning.
- Familiarity with platforms such as LiveRamp, SAS CRM Management, or Adobe CDP.
