Position Overview

The Audio Visual Lead Technician is responsible for leading the on-site implementation of AV projects, ensuring installations meet quality standards and project timelines. This role requires technical excellence, leadership in the field, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute AV installation projects according to blueprints and technical specifications
• Pull cable, terminate connectors, and install AV components including projectors, displays, loudspeakers and racks
• Perform mechanical fabrication and assist with rack building and wiring
• Load and configure Q-SYS control systems
• Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and riser diagrams
• Troubleshoot and provide advanced technical support for Q-SYS, AMX, and Biamp control systems (no programming required)
• Set up and configure Netgear networking equipment including switches, routers, and wireless networks
• Ensure all installation tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and with a high standard of quality
• Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver outstanding service
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites
• Occasionally travel to out-of-town job sites as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CTS-I Certification
• Proven experience managing and installing commercial AV systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Familiarity with AV networking (especially Netgear systems)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented with a professional attitude and strong work ethic
