Assistant Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community, including leasing, maintenance, finance, administration and risk management in the absence of the Community Manager.
• Manage collections, delinquency and rent optimization to maintain cash flow and financial position.
• Supervise staff to ensure compliance with company policies, safety, fair housing guidelines and liability concerns.
• Process payments, reconcile account receivables, prepare late notices, filing evictions and assist property in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses and NOI.
• Post resident charges, statements, security deposit refunds and perform end‑of‑month closing procedures and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and training.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with onsite software functions.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to communicate, coach, train and develop onsite staff and resolve resident complaints.

Salary Range: $22 per hour to $25 per hour
