FREELANCE PUBLIC RELATIONS SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - PET CARE Our pet care business is booming, so we’re on the hunt for a smart, organized, client-savvy PR SAE to join us on a part-time freelance basis. As a PR freelancer, you’ll bring your experience in reaching pet care decision-makers and influencers, especially with pet food, pharmaceuticals, ingredients and wellness trends. Bonus points for experience with toys and treats. You will be supporting product launches reaching audiences of retailers, veterinarians, nutritionists and R&D professionals. You’ll use your pet care industry experience to inspire clients with ideas that generate excitement, create clear messaging, and strengthen relationships through proven results and shared goals. Working closely with the creative team, you’ll find innovative ways to engage key audiences. From national media outreach to content planning and development, you’ll support teammates in taking public relations to the next level.

Hours/Location This is a freelance position. Ideal candidates are expected to be on-site in our Milwaukee or Chicago office for occasional team or client meetings.

The Ideal Person For This

• Has five to seven years of agency experience and a background in journalism, marketing or communications
• Brings significant experience supporting pet care industries, bonus points for pet toys and treats!
• Possesses critical thinking skills, a strategic mind and the drive to deliver great results
• Thrives on building national buzz and has experience with industry media relations, satellite media tours, innovative sponsored content programs and influencer engagement
• Can build relationships with a team, a client and media contacts
• Loves to partner with the creative team and has a passion for turning big ideas into reality
• Can see the big picture, delegate and coach, but won’t hesitate to roll up their sleeves and dig in
• Loves PR writing, pitching and media relations, and has dabbled in influencer marketing
• Has experience with trade shows and immersive events to reach pet care and pet wellness decision-makers
• Participates in planning with our team and clients
