Youll be the ultimate owner of your assigned client accountsdriving strategic direction, integrated marketing, and media relations initiatives that deliver measurable results.This role is ideal for someone who has successfully managed PR-driven marketing campaigns, led client relationships, and secured consistent media coverage. Youll combine expert storytelling with tactical media strategy to bring client brands to life across earned, owned, and paid channels.Key Responsibilities:Pod Leadership & Project Management:Lead a cross-functional Pod, managing team members and ensuring progress toward Rocks (EOS goals).Develop, execute, and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for integrated PR and marketing campaigns.Oversee internal collaboration, workload allocation, and quality control for all deliverables.Client Management & Strategic Counsel:Serve as the primary client point of contact, driving communication, accountability, and measurable outcomes.Provide high-level counsel on media relations, thought leadership, and content strategy that supports client business goals.Identify growth opportunities, manage account budgets, and oversee billing conversations.Support clients in crisis communications and reputation management.Present results and strategic insights regularly to stakeholders.Media Relations & Communications:Develop comprehensive PR plans that include media pitching, story development, and thought leadership placement.Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and feature story pitches that secure quality media coverage across print, broadcast, and digital.Build and nurture media relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers.Ensure message alignment across campaigns and handle rapid response or crisis media needs.Lead or support the development of messaging for webinars, media events, and executive interviews.Content Marketing Strategy & Creation:Create and implement content strategies aligned with PR and brand objectives.Produce engaging content across blogs, newsletters, websites, and social media.Manage website and SEO-based content initiatives to enhance visibility and engagement.Oversee influencer collaborations to expand brand storytelling reach.Analytics & Reporting:Monitor and analyze media coverage, message pull-through, and sentiment.Track KPIs across PR and content channels and produce actionable insights.Present performance reports showing the tangible impact of earned and owned media efforts.Stay current on media trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for clients.Required Qualifications:57 years of experience in public relations, communications, or marketing account management.Proven track record of securing earned media coverage and leading successful PR campaigns.Exceptional writing and storytelling skills across press materials, articles, and brand content.Experience integrating PR strategy with content marketing and digital campaigns.Familiarity with media monitoring and CRM tools, SEO best practices, and social media advertising (Meta, LinkedIn, etc).Strong relationship management and mentoring capabilities.Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented leader able to navigate multiple priorities.Compensation:Salary range: $85,000-115,000 annually, based on experience and digital marketing expertise75% coverage of a high-quality national PPO insurance plan401(k) matching: 100% of the first 1%, plus 50% of the next 5%Unlimited PTO after 90 days of employmentPerformance-based bonusesRequirements: Occasional overtime work may be necessary to fulfill job demands.We are a hybrid company, 3 days each week in our Chicago office are required at a minimum (Tuesdays, Wednesday a s and Thursdays).Equipment:Must provide your own computer with reliable internet for video/phone calls$1,000 annual stipend for computer, internet, and phone useThis position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and make a significant impact on our organization's media presence.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
