Job Description

The Clinical Medical Fact Checker plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of pharmaceutical advertising materials for both US and global audiences. By closely collaborating with Medical Writers, this position confirms that supplied references adequately support claims, facilitating Veeva PromoMats project submission and Medical/Regulatory/Legal review.

Responsibilities

  • Verify claims in advertising and promotional documents against published sources before submission for Medical/Regulatory/Legal review.
  • Ensure suitable references support all product and promotional claims in text, graphs, charts, tables, and statistical analyses.
  • Create annotated documents for submitting and linking projects in Veeva PromoMats.
  • Collaborate with writers, editors, account managers, and Veeva submission specialists to ensure accuracy, currency, and compliance of project submissions.
  • Research promotional claims and perform data mining using Clinical Study Reports (CSRs) and resources from the company library.
  • Organize and manage approved references on the A3 server.
  • Link claims to published sources in Veeva PromoMats as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Proven source verification and proofreading abilities.
  • Experience with PromoMats, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Trials.
  • Knowledge of advertising and promotional materials, Clinical Study Reports, and FDA, ICH, GCP standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a medical-related field such as biology or chemistry, or equivalent experience within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in medical fact checking for pharmaceutical advertising and promotional materials.
  • Ability to research, understand, and interpret medical and scientific data.
  • Familiarity with regulations and standards related to the promotion of pharmaceutical products and AMA style guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro and MS Word; familiarity with the Veeva PromoMats platform is a definite plus.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
