Jacobs is inviting applications for a
Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer
to join our Advanced Manufacturing Group. The role focuses on delivering innovative HVAC design solutions for large‑scale industrial projects across the United States. Base Pay Range
$102,900.00/yr – $135,075.00/yr Overview
As a lead designer, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages. You will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Key Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems, including chilled water, cooling water, and packaged units. Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents; calculate system sizing; create Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements. Produce final construction documents associated with HVAC systems. Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate HVAC design with overall project objectives. Required Qualifications
At least ten (10) years’ experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities. Proficiency in Revit and thorough knowledge of relevant codes and standards. Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines. Ability to collaborate remotely with the project team. Preferred Experience
Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D. Experience designing plumbing/utility systems. Benefits
