Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer
– Jacobs Base Pay Range
$102,900.00/yr – $135,075.00/yr In our Advanced Manufacturing Group, the Building Mechanical team delivers cost‑effective and transformative HVAC solutions for heavy industrial clients. The Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer will lead the design and documentation of HVAC systems, manage scheduling, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements. Prepare final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, and related systems. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integration of HVAC solutions. Qualifications
At least ten (10) years of HVAC system design for industrial facilities. Proficiency in Revit. Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design. Adaptability to a fast‑paced, multi‑deadline team environment. Ability to collaborate remotely with the project team. Preferred Skills
Experience with AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D. Experience in plumbing/utility system design.
