WTHI-TV is seeking a News Producer to join our award-winning team. We’re a smaller market station, but we take news seriously. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Produce Newscast Write compelling broadcast copy and teases Copy edit stories written by others Fill-in produce other newscasts, series and special reports as assigned Develop, write and edit compelling news stories on a daily basis Develop and maintain contacts and news sources throughout viewing area Non-linear editing of VO’s and VOSOT’s Write, edit and post compelling content for website Other job related duties as required Job Requirements
College degree in journalism or related field Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required Strong news judgment Strong writing skills Background Check Special Skills (Preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of strict deadlines Non-linear editing ENPS Web publishing skills EOE/MINORITIES/FEMALES/VETERANS/DISABLED Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $30,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No EOE statements: EOE/MINORITIES/FEMALES/VETERANS/DISABLED
