We are seeking a COMSEC Network Designer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO. This role supports our company partner Global Services and Technology business organization and collaborates with IT Business Success Leaders and stakeholders to implement and maintain communications and network systems that enable the business to meet organizational and program goals. Position Responsibilities
Leads and performs the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services (e.g., wireless, data, voice, video, cable, wire) based on customer goals, objectives, cost and security constraints, to lead the design process Works collaboratively with stakeholders (Transport, MAN/WAN, Structured Cabling, Project Manager, etc.) in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams Provides oversight and consultation of work intake processes, backlog, and execution of requests, coordinating with IT Business leaders, Product Owners and Scrum Masters Creates and documents designs that conform to architectural and security standards to meet customer requirements, using design templates and standard implementation packages Prepares, deploys, and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages per company standards Provides Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support in preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance to meet service restoration and network availability objectives, using network analysis and monitoring tools Supports and participates in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluation Leads and performs implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects, using established project management methodologies Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving Basic Qualifications (Required)
Active IAT Level 2 certifications per DoD Instruction 8570 (8140) 3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations 3+ years of experience with design, implementation and troubleshooting of LAN and WAN 3+ years of experience with Splunk/Syslog and log forwarding 3+ years of experience with LAN technologies: Layer2, Layer3, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, IP Multicast, IP QoS, DHCP, NTP Experience with Bill of Materials based on design/project requirements Ability to support after-hours change windows and implementations Willing to cover on-call shifts, including weekends and after hours Company partner is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met. 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Active Top Secret Clearance Current CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco Certification Experience with IPSEC and GRE tunnel configurations Experience with Zero Trust Experience with DoD Comply to Connect requirements Experience with SIPR/SDREN/DREN requirements Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 type 1 encryptors Experience with VRFs Experience with Network Segmentation Benefits
