Overview

This job description outlines a HVAC Designer role within Jacobs’ Building Mechanical team in the Advanced Manufacturing Group. The role involves delivering innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. Responsibilities

Layout and design of HVAC systems Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements Development of final construction documents for these systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water, etc.) Coordination with other disciplines Qualifications

At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities Proficiency in Revit Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely Preferred / Additional

Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr. Your actual pay will be based on skills and experience; talk with your recruiter to learn more.
