In Jacobs Advanced Manufacturing Group, we’re seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team to deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. You will work with engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements Development of final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water Coordination with other disciplines Manage schedule and technical quality of tasks, aligning with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule Qualifications
At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities Proficiency in Revit Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design Adaptability to fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely Preferred/Additional
Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D Experience in design of plumbing/utility systems Base pay range
