Manager, Creative - Art (Bangkok-based, relocation provided)
Join Agoda as the Manager, Creative - Art (Bangkok-based, relocation provided) to lead art direction within the Brand Creative team. This role focuses on developing bold concepts, refining visual storytelling, mentoring designers, and shaping Agoda’s visual identity across multiple touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership: Partner with Creative Managers to lead the art direction and design vision across various projects.
- Help drive the development of design concepts for campaigns and creatives, e.g., storyboards, online ads, and visual systems.
- Manage a team of visual designers and collaborate with fellow Creative Managers to elevate craft and push for excellence.
- Concepting & Execution: Generate fresh, innovative ideas for campaigns and business-as-usual projects (digital, social, print, OOH).
- Execute campaigns with hands-on art direction and design (50%), while supervising team projects (50%) to ensure craft and attention to detail.
- Direct designers on adherence to fundamental design rules to ensure strong visual storytelling.
- Confidently present creative concepts and design rationale to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Partner with copy and production teams to develop unified campaign ideas; work with Brand Management to align solutions with objectives and brand strategy; translate project requirements into visually compelling outcomes; manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Leadership: Provide clear design feedback, assist in career development and training of designers, and contribute to a positive, collaborative, design-driven culture.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- 8+ years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years as an Art Director in an agency or client-side environment.
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Figma).
- Significant working knowledge of Gen AI tools for creative production.
- Portfolio highlighting related works (campaigns, digital assets, logos, video ads, layouts).
- Deep understanding of typography, layout, color, art direction, and current design trends.
- Experience working across digital, social, and traditional media.
- Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to clearly articulate ideas and rationale.
- Excellent English language skills; strong listening and collaboration abilities; organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
- Nice to have: Motion design and animation skills; social media content creation; UX/UI knowledge.
