What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Develop and recommend strategies for assigned lines of business to achieve growth and profitability targets
Provide technical assistance and support to underwriting teams across the country for over authority items
Manage projects for assigned profitability initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend corrective actions
Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for expansion
Serve as Subject Matter Expert on assigned lines for training and enterprise-wide initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 10+ years of Middle Market and/or related commercial lines underwriting experience
Strong technical understanding of specific lines of business, including Professional Liability and General Liability
Education: Undergraduate studies preferably in business or a related field; graduate studies preferred
Proven knowledge of property/casualty products, insurance company operations, and industry trends
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
CPCU, ARM, or other industry designations
Experience acting in the capacity of a Referral Underwriter and/or people leader
Expertise across other commercial lines of business (Auto, Workers Compensation, etc.)
Demonstrated decision-making and strategic abilities
Ability to drive for results and deal with ambiguity
