Although the Audience Insights team is a part of the Marketing structure at DoorDash, it partners with and influences the strategy of different functions across the organization. The purpose of our team is to use our knowledge and expertise to bring the insights needed to the forefront and ensure the voice of our 3 key audiences (consumers, merchants & dashers) is at the core of our decisions. This includes completing research, incorporating tools, synthesizing data, and consulting on projects.
As an Audience Insights Manager, you will be joining our Brand Insights function at a unique, exciting, and pivotal time. This role will be focused on supporting our Brand goals and objectives on a variety of projects that will inform our strategies and campaigns. In addition to this focus, this team member will also have the opportunity to help with overflow insights projects across audiences. This role will be part of the broader Audience Insights team filled with self‑motivated, diverse‑minded, curious, creative, solution‑oriented, and inspiring people that genuinely enjoy finding new ways of understanding people at their core and unlocking it for others.
Responsibilities
Lead research that informs brand positioning, creative effectiveness, and campaign measurement
Manage and evolve our creative testing program to optimize work across channels
Uncover drivers of brand health and identify opportunities for growth
Influence Marketing leadership decisions and act as a thought partner cross‑functionally
Use creativity and technical expertise to execute the process needed for qualitative and quantitative research
Synthesize learnings to formulate compelling stories that stimulate decisions
Build and oversee vendor relationships and run studies completely from scratch, in house
Help improve project management efficiency by managing timelines, collecting necessary information from different stakeholders, and ensuring vendors meet the business needs
Establish tools and processes that centralize information and get it in the hands of strategic partners when they need it the most
Contribute to the team’s cultivation of a company culture that can identify and action against insights
Enable the business to be deeply attuned to what it takes to meet the needs of all our audiences: consumers, merchants & dashers
Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Marketing Research or Insights
Understanding of different types of research such as concept development, script testing, copy testing, ethnography, segmentation, brand health, and other qualitative and quantitative techniques
Comfort with self‑moderating 1‑on‑1 interviews
Creative and collaborative – love working with a team and solving challenging problems
Understanding of Qualtrics – or extensive experience with programming surveys
Expertise with brand tracking research – leveraging crosstab tools, stat testing tools, and indexing
Experience with AI in research with clear understanding of where it can accelerate
Experience writing insights proposals or learning plans, suggesting the best research methodologies to meet project objectives and explaining them to non‑researcher stakeholders

Compensation Starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.
Base salary range in the United States (including Illinois and Colorado): $129,200 – $190,000 USD.
Opportunities for equity grants.

Paid Time Off Details
For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
