The Telecommunications Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Lee Health switchboards. This position ensures proper telephone coverage for all locations, 24 hours a day, interviews and hires department employees, organizes department orientation and training, completes 90-day and annual job evaluations, troubleshoots basic telephone issues before referring to the IS Department, maintains the department manual, and performs other duties as assigned. The supervisor develops and maintains ongoing communication with all departments within Lee Health to ensure exceptional customer service, patient experience, and employee satisfaction. Responsibilities
Oversee daily switchboard operations to ensure consistent telephone coverage across all locations. Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard department staff; organize orientation and training. Conduct 90-day and annual performance evaluations for department employees. Troubleshoot basic telephone issues and escalate complex problems to the IS Department as needed. Maintain and update the department manual and related procedures. Collaborate with departments to support exceptional customer service, patient experience, and employee satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent; degree/diploma program of study preferred or required as indicated. Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years in a Supervisor/Management role; customer service experience preferred. Additional Requirements: Multi-line phone or PBX experience is helpful. Licenses/Certifications: Not required.
