The Healing & CPTSD Foundation™ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing recognition, education, and systemic reform for Complex PTSD.

We are a survivor-led organization building trauma-informed change across healthcare, policy, and community systems — ensuring survivors are seen, supported, and no longer healing in isolation.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Grant Writer to join our team of survivor-led changemakers. This volunteer role is ideal for someone with experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or communications who wants to make a direct impact in the trauma recovery space.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with our mission and programs
• Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and related documents
• Collaborate with the Foundation President and team to gather required data and storytelling assets
• Maintain a grants calendar and tracking system for submissions, reports, and deadlines
• Help shape a sustainable funding structure for survivor-led advocacy and direct Healing Grants

Qualifications

• Experience in grant writing, development, or nonprofit communications (preferred but not required)
• Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
• Deep alignment with trauma-informed, survivor-centered values
• Ability to communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and collaborate remotely

Time Commitment

5–10 hours per month, flexible schedule. Remote position.
