Director of Sales & Marketing. You will be responsible for overseeing commercial strategies for the hotel. Your goal is to improve asset performance by connecting strategy and business processes. What will I be doing?
The primary responsibilities are to design, develop, and deploy business strategies that are creative, dynamic, and impactful for the Americas and to lead the Hotel Sales and Marketing process. Key deliverables include moving analytics and processes to a predictive and prescriptive approach to drive performance, and communicating commercial strategies and standards through a structured cadence and analysis of revenue against goals. You will facilitate the delivery of the Americas Commercial Operating Model and should possess strong leadership, communication, and networking skills. Produce the hotel’s Annual Multi-Year Commercial Strategy Plan in partnership with on-property leaders and regional support. Connect hotel performance needs with Hilton enterprise solutions in each key segment served by the hotel. Direct accountability for setting strategy and delivering revenue across groups including group rooms, banquets, catering, business transient, and leisure transient. Work with Commercial Leadership to ensure pricing strategies maximize sales and catering opportunities and achieve positive group market share. Support hotel B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations, and communications; guide e-commerce to ensure accurate online content. Establish optimal business mix, review and validate revenue forecasts, and approve retail and group pricing strategies. Work with Commercial Leaders to maximize profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets; develop and manage departmental budgets. Maintain real-time knowledge of competitor and market activity; execute the Sales and Catering SIP (Sales Incentive Program). Leadership
Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly Sales & Marketing Optimization processes and translate outcomes into actionable strategies. Contribute to annual Commercial Cadence communications on performance drivers. Ensure adherence to Hilton brand standards and corporate identity; recruit and retain sales and marketing staff. Develop team members through ongoing performance reviews and career development plans; manage direct and dotted-line reports across sales, catering, and marketing. Foster a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG goals. Ownership, Customer, and Stakeholder Relations
Own performance and commercial activity reporting for the hotel; communicate status and response plans. Present commercial strategies to key business partners and ownership groups with transparency and timeliness. Liaise with Hilton Worldwide Sales, regional support, and brand teams; build relationships with CVB, community influencers, and 3rd party partners. Engage with customers across sales segments; support site visits and pre-convention meetings; support sales travel to feeder markets. What are we looking for?
Minimum qualifications: Hotel Sales, Catering, or Marketing experience Leadership/management experience Ability to travel Experience in hotel management or related industry Professional presentation and communication skills (oral and written) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to perform critical analysis Preferred capabilities: Four-year college degree Experience with business strategy and planning Ability to speak multiple languages Multiple brand experience Values and Attributes
