Overview
FlexStaff is seeking a Medical Office Administrator with experience in Healthcare Insurance Authorization and Medical Billing for our Client, a Prosthetics and Orthotics Lab. Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. This is Temp-to-Hire role. Responsibilities
Front Desk Management: Greet and welcome patients as they arrive; Check in patients and schedule appointments. Appointment Scheduling: Manage and coordinate appointment scheduling for multiple healthcare providers; Reschedule or cancel appointments as necessary. Patient Registration: Collect patient information, insurance details, and relevant medical history; Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. Telephone Communication: Answer phone calls promptly and professionally; Respond to inquiries from patients, family members, and other healthcare staff; Relay messages to appropriate staff and follow up on patient calls. Record Keeping: Maintain and update patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems or paper files; Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Billing and Insurance: Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits; Collect co-pays and payments from patients; Assist patients with billing questions or concerns. Medical Correspondence: Prepare and send out correspondence, such as appointment reminders and follow-up letters; Ensure the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing medical records and correspondence. Office Management: Maintain a clean and organized reception area; Order and manage office supplies as needed; Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth office operations. Support Healthcare Providers: Assist medical professionals with administrative tasks as needed; Prepare charts for daily appointments and ensure all necessary documents are available. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families; Address patient concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy. Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have at least 3 (three) years of healthcare billing/collections experience. Salary
