What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Conduct and oversee mobile ethnographic research using a mix of qualitative methods to explore user behaviors and attitudes

Deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations of homeowners to inform product and strategy decisions

Champion and teach ethnographic research methods to the broader UX Research team

Synthesize research findings into actionable insights that align with strategy initiatives

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research supports business objectives and customer needs

What is Required (Qualifications)

Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a proven ability to lead strategic research engagements

Experience designing, launching, and managing multi-phase qualitative studies including longitudinal diary studies and in-person ethnography

Ability to translate complex qualitative datasets into meaningful insights about user behaviors and pain points

Strong storytelling skills to present evidence-based narratives that influence roadmap decisions

Prior experience in a two-sided marketplace, such as home services or e-commerce, is highly preferred
