The Audio Visual (AV) Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of AV installation projects for commercial, corporate and educational clients. This role ensures that all system installations—including conference rooms, classrooms, digital signage, and integrated AV environments—are completed on time, within budget, and to the company’s quality standards. Unlike event production roles, this position focuses exclusively on permanent AV systems integration and installation.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple AV installation projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, architects, and internal engineering and installation teams to ensure project success.
- Review and interpret AV system designs, drawings, and specifications to plan project execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and installation timelines.
- Oversee field installation teams, ensuring proper implementation of audio, video, control, and network systems.
- Track project costs, approve change orders, and maintain accurate project documentation.
Requirements
- 4+ years AV experience
- Prior project management experience
$90,000 - $125,000 a year
