The Role
We’re searching for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) who lives and breathes tourism, hospitality, and food & beverage PR. As the media maestro for our domestic tourism business, you’ll craft strategic pitches, build journalist relationships, land top‑tier coverage, and become your team’s media guru. This hybrid role (2 days/week in NYC) is perfect for someone who thrives on both independence and collaboration—and loves a little adventure in their work.
What You’ll Be Doing
Media Relations Campaign Implementation
Shape Media Strategy: Develop key messages, pitch themes and editorial calendars aligned with client goals.
Build Media Relationships: Connect with journalists and producers, monitor trends and identify coverage opportunities.
Pitch & Secure Coverage: Draft pitches, pitch story ideas, book interviews to generate editorial placements.
Events: Manage press trips and media events.
Measure & Improve: Track coverage, analyze results and recommend fresh angles.
Clients You’ll Work With
Our clients include Loudoun County (VA), Louisville (KY), Rockford (IL), and other destinations across the U.S.
Qualifications
3-4 years PR experience preferably; Agency experience preferred
Strong, creative, AP‑style writing an absolute must
Ability to “spot” a story angle
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to pitch stories over the phone or over e‑mail
Strong presentation skills and confidence in making public presentations
Highly self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently
Impeccable organization; Microsoft Office proficiency
Driver’s license required
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or have all necessary approvals to live/work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship
