Title: Creative Strategist Type: Full-time, Hybrid/Remote Department: Marketing Reports To: Head of Growth Job Summary Doc’s Diesel is seeking a performance-driven Creative Strategist to own and elevate the brand’s visual identity across every customer touchpoint. This role blends creativity with data — developing content that not only looks great but performs. You’ll lead creative direction, oversee production, and collaborate closely with our Head of Growth to drive measurable growth through high‑impact design and storytelling. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced eCommerce environment, understands what makes digital creative convert, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to bring ideas to life. Key Responsibilities Performance-Driven Creativity (Non‑Negotiable) Partner with performance marketing to design and test high‑performing ad creatives (video, static, UGC, motion graphics). Research and analyze competitor ads, creative trends, and hooks across digital platforms. Continuously iterate and optimize based on data — CTR, ROAS, conversions, and engagement metrics. Balance bold creativity with a data‑first, growth‑oriented mindset. Brand & Creative Direction Own the look, feel, and voice of the brand across ads, email, and social. Develop creative concepts for product launches, campaigns, and evergreen marketing. Ensure all creative aligns with brand positioning and business goals. Execution & Hands‑On Production Jump into creative tools for quick edits, mockups, and variations when needed. Direct and oversee photo/video shoots, agencies, and freelancers. Maintain high quality and speed under tight deadlines. Manage and mentor designers, editors, and freelance partners — providing clear briefs and constructive feedback. Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and product teams to align creative with launches and promotions. Build and maintain a scalable creative workflow to support company growth. Stay ahead of social, design, and cultural trends to keep the brand fresh. Leverage AI tools to ideate, edit, and accelerate creative production. Explore new content formats and emerging platforms to expand reach and engagement. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in creative direction, brand design, or marketing. eCommerce retail brand experience is mandatory. Auto parts/automotive industry experience & enthusiasm preferred. Proven track record of developing creative that drives measurable performance. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and/or video editing tools. Strong understanding of digital advertising, paid social, and performance metrics. Experience managing a small creative team or freelancers. Excellent organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Mindset that aligns with Doc’s Diesel core values.
