Internal Communications Specialist Position Summary
The Communications Specialist reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and is a critical role responsible for developing and executing internal communications strategies that inform, engage, and connect our hospital system's team members. This position is the primary voice for all HR-related communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with the hospital system's culture and values. Write, edit, and produce high-quality materials that advance our corporate voice and messaging. Materials include intranet content, email announcements, presentations, articles, and video scripts. Be a key driver for the overall content calendar for HR-related storytelling across owned internal channels.
Internal Communications Specialist Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field is required. Experience Required:
5+ years of relevant experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or public affairs. Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with proven ability to manage multiple complex communications projects simultaneously. Familiarity with measurement tools (e.g., email open rates, intranet analytics, social analytics). Experience Preferred:
Experience in the healthcare industry or a large, complex organization. Experience in change management communications, specifically for large, complex change implementations. Internal Communications Specialist Schedule
Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday Evenings and weekends may be required as needed.
