Our work affirms the university’s pursuit of civic participation, freedom of expression, and robust dialogue.**Job Description**Serves as the Video Engineer for shows and events, both live and virtual, related to the Wexner Center for the Arts programming and other clients. Designs, sets up, operates, and maintains professional video systems for theatres, livestream events, and multiple other venues; creates professional recordings in multiple formats; streams programs and other events onto various online platforms with accessibility accommodations included as needed; read, understand, interpret, and implement technical riders and other written documents; works with artists, programmers, and technical staff to design, implement, install, and tear down audiovisual designs using multiple formats and mediums; assists visiting designers at tech, rehearsals, and shows and fulfills designer requests; attends all staff, department and production meetings; works variable hours, nights, weekends and holidays as needed. **Supervises**Intermittent event staff- Stagehands**Duties Description*** Design, set up, operate, and maintain professional video presentation systems, both portable and permanently installed in theatres and multiple other venues. Serve as video engineer for performing arts shows, dance, theatrical, and musical presentations.* Serve as video engineer for lectures, conferences, corporate meetings, and various other clients. Provide support for video recording or streaming of events.* Support installation of A/V electronics and cabling during gallery set-up and de-installation of exhibitions.* Responsible for video and other electronic equipment repair, maintenance, and upgrades including Film/Video Digital Cinema projector and content server.* Work closely with Wexner Center staff and various visiting artists and musicians, university departments, and outside clients on planning in coordination of technical needs for events. Other duties as assigned.**Minimum Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience* Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience**Required:** **Qualifications and Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience* Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience* Experience in livestreaming production, including: + Set-up and implementation + Multi-camera systems, including PTZ + Multi-input/sources + Streaming across multiple platforms* Experience with network configuration to support livestreaming requirements* Proficiency in vMix, OBS Studio, or similar software* Demonstrated knowledge of: + Video image presentation standards and best practices + Content management systems + Multiple display format* Desired: Experience in professional recording and video editing* Working knowledge of Digital Cinema systems, projectors, and content servers* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite* Strong troubleshooting skills* Positive workplace attitude* Ability to work independently and collaboratively under general supervision* Strong collaboration skills across various functional areas* Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills* Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse customers and client groups* High level of focus, flexibility, and attention to detail**Desired:*** Knowledge of or experience in professional recording and editing* Experience in theatre technology* Background in audio, video, film, and lighting fields, preferably within visual and performing arts* Experience in design, construction, and repair of electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment* Membership in professional organizations such as USITT, ESTA, and ETCP* Willingness to pursue certifications and educational opportunities in the field## Additional Information:Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds required; ability to climb ladders and negotiate lighting catwalks and access points in all theatre spaces required; work from aerial platforms and personnel lifts required; comfortable working in an environment in which directions and priorities can change rapidly is essential.Use of personal vehicle may be required (mileage reimbursed); work hours vary and include evenings, weekends, and possible holidays; requires successful completion of a background check and DMA (Declaration of Materials Assistance) form prior to start date.The target hiring range for this job profile is $58,700 – $77,200.
