Hamilton Relay is seeking an entry level Bilingual Communication Assistant – Relay Operator. Our specially trained Relay Operators make it possible for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf‑blind or have difficulty speaking to communicate over the telephone. We are looking for individuals who have a desire to help others, possess a strong work ethic, have great communication skills, and excellent attention to detail. This is a remote work‑from‑home opportunity open to Columbus, GA area residents only.

  • Evening & weekend shift differentials

  • Full Time & Part Time shifts available working 1:30 - 10:00pm CT
  • No or limited direct customer interaction

Qualified applicants must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Be bilingual Spanish/English both verbal and written
  • Have a typing speed of 55 - 60 wpm with a high accuracy rate
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Able to maintain strict consumer confidentiality
  • Available for 2 weeks of training held 8:00am - 4:30pm CT

Workspace requirements:

  • High speed home internet connection. Satellite internet and wireless internet are not acceptable.
  • Must be able to hard wire your work computer directly to your home modem via Ethernet.
  • Must have a quiet, private, distraction free workspace.
