Associate Account Director/Account Director, Influencer Marketing
LOCATION: The Associate Account Direct/Account Director, Influencer Marketing position is a remote, work-from-home role. Some travel is required for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.
The Role: As the partner marketing landscape continues to evolve, various channels and tactics are coming together in exciting ways. Acceleration Partners is leading the charge and seeks an experienced senior-level digital marketing professional with leadership experience to autonomously manage cross-regional teams for our influencer marketing practice. The successful candidate will serve as a high-level client-facing liaison, often acting as a point of escalation for the AP and client teams. They will develop and manage KPI-driven influencer marketing campaigns for consumer products and/or services companies, possess working knowledge of the overall partner marketing landscape—including affiliate—and be capable of directing comprehensive strategy while guiding and holding teams accountable.
The role includes ensuring high-level client service that drives client happiness, retention, and growth KPIs. The Associate Account Director will also coach and develop direct reports on client service and communication best practices, oversee team retention, staffing, and resourcing. A key focus is monitoring industry trends, ensuring synergy and alignment, and continually improving processes and best practices.

Portfolio Growth (Strategy, Execution, Performance, and Expansion) – Provide high-level strategic guidance and partnership to teams to ensure program goals are met, mitigate risks proactively, innovate new strategy and tactics, and identify expansion opportunities.
Lead, Manage, and Hold Your Team Accountable – Oversee account teams, hire, develop, coach, and provide timely feedback, monitor happiness and retention metrics, and resolve issues with stakeholder collaboration.
Superior Client Service (Communication, Satisfaction, and Retention) – Build strong relationships with client contacts at multiple levels, act as primary point of contact, manage 95% of escalations, and uphold client satisfaction and Net Promoter Score goals.
Resource Allocation and Profitability – Manage monthly utilization, staffing plans, and sales pipeline resources; ensure account profitability and identify opportunities to increase portfolio revenue.
Internal Responsibilities – Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to meet customer needs, improve processes, mitigate risks, and maintain open communication across AP.
What Success Looks Like
BY 6 MONTHS: The Associate Account Director is overseeing day-to-day operations of multiple influencer programs across regions with little guidance from their Director. They have formed strong relationship with client contacts, are recognized as a leader and point of escalation, influence programs grow MoM, performance meets or exceeds client goals, deliver high-quality service, provide effective coaching, make sound decisions, and maintain client NPS of 8+.
BY 1 YEAR: The Associate Account Director autonomously takes full accountability for program performance and regional responsibilities. Influencer program outcomes meet or exceed client expectations consistently. Team efficiency and strategic planning are maximized. They pitch expansion opportunities to clients, secure retention, and deliver high-caliber, profitable service with client satisfaction scores of 8+.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
6+ years of digital marketing and agency experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Proven leadership track record: interviewing, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Solid understanding of omni‑channel and digital marketing; track record running influencer campaigns for consumer products/services.
Working knowledge of attribution in digital marketing.
Understanding of how influencer and affiliate marketing can work together.
Experience with influencer tools (CreatorIQ, GRIN, etc.) preferred.
Knowledge of affiliate networks or SaaS platforms (Impact, ShareASale, Commission Junction, etc.) preferred.
Ability to travel up to 25%, including international locations.
Analytical mindset; comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
Advanced Excel capabilities and familiarity with formatting, formulas, and customizing reports.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Strategic thinker able to develop and lead comprehensive influencer marketing strategies.

Target base salary is $100,000 – $120,000 depending on location, experience, and leveling.
