Editor
JTG is currently seeking an Editor for an immediate position
The Editor will review bilingual manuscripts and glossary databases to ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. The editor is also responsible for ensuring conformity to style guidelines and working with target language experts to polish translations to maximize parallelism and naturalness. Strong candidates will have experience working with non-Romanized scripts and expertise working directly with authors on manuscript revisions.
Location:
Hyattsville, MD (remote work until further notice)
Minimum requirements:
Two years editorial experience.
Working knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed., 2017).
Working knowledge of ILR standards.
A master's degree in English or closely related relevant field.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with non-English language(s), especially those written with different scripts.
Experience performing translation or edited translated materials.
