Overview FWI is building a team to support Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Creative Director will manage the creative process from concept to completion, leading and directing the creative team in the production of all marketing materials while ensuring visual communication and brand standards are met. Work Schedule and Location Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities
Manage the creative process from concept to completion and execution, translate marketing objectives into a clear creative strategy, work closely with other projects and teams, lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing material
Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met, oversee all client proposals as well as profitability, deliverables, timelines, and budgets of all projects, meet with the client and upper management to provide insight into the campaign's strategies, review and provide feedback to the creative staff
Manage and oversee the productivity of the designers, art directors, copywriters, photographers, videographers, web developers, and others
Generate ideas and concepts in collaboration with a copywriter, produce sketches, drafts, storyboards, roughs, and other related material to visualize ideas
Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience to collaborate with the rest of the creative team to work from concept to final execution within deadlines
Manage and delegate responsibilities, provide direction, and present completed ideas to the client and team members
Stay up to date with trends to maintain best practices and the top of line products
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Design, Visual Arts, Art, Photography, or a related field
7+ years of experience in a related field
Strong understanding of industry trends and creative tools while being knowledgeable about the client's needs
Experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection, packing design, performing, and managing a range of creative positions such as graphic designers, art directors, and copywriters
Enable to inspire creativity and able to work well with different personality types
Excellent verbal and writing skills in both Spanish and English
