We are seeking a Fire Alarm Estimator / CAD Designer to support our teams\' continued growth in Southern and Northern California. As a systems estimator/designer, you will be directly involved in working with our winning team to help win and support our customers in the areas of fire alarm, security alarms, access control solutions, camera systems, audio/video systems, and job site surveillance solutions for apartment, multi-family, and general contractor builders. Responsibilities
Perform system take-offs and estimating for project bids for review and approval. Able to run voltage calculations and prepare plans for complete submission. Able to work with jurisdictions on changes and requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service and support throughout the entire process. Collaborate with the installation and service teams to ensure seamless project execution. Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge to position KPS Alarms as a key partner to our builders. Qualifications
A good understanding of NFPA 72 and CRC requirements. CAD drafting experience in the Fire Alarm field. Ability to perform system take-offs and estimations for project bids for operations to review and approve. Ability to run voltage calculations and prepare plans for submission. Ability to work with jurisdictions on changes and requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service and support throughout the process. Collaborate with the installation and service teams to ensure seamless project execution. Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge to effectively help position KPS Alarms as a key partner to our builders. Preferred Qualifications
DMP and Mircom experience. NICET Certification. A driven builder and go-getter with high career goals. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
