Communications Coordinator NC State College of Engineering is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support day‑to‑day communications and marketing needs for the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering.

Posting Details Position: Temporary Professional (Non‑Faculty) – Communications Coordinator (ID PG195557TM)

Location: Raleigh, NC

Salary: Up to $23.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities

Social media management (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook).

AP style journalistic writing for newsletters and online content.

WordPress content updates and website maintenance for the department.

Video capture assistance for produced and live content.

Support alumni engagement and undergraduate recruitment efforts through web, print, and email marketing.

Assist with visual design and departmental events in line with NC State and College of Engineering branding.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field; or 1‑2 years of relevant experience.

Ability to work within an organization’s brand guidelines.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Experience updating and/or developing website content.

Basic knowledge of multiple social media platforms, Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, and AP style.

Interest in storytelling, campus culture and connecting with various audiences.

Knowledge of web design principles and content management systems.
